Shallow Draft: A Sea-DooŽ boat's shallow 12" draft lets you explore places other boats can't. Avoid hazzards like rocks, boat ramps and low water levels.
More Safety: Sea-DooŽ boats are powered by an internal impeller, not an external propeller. No sharp edges are exposed to swimmers, skiers or wakeboarders.
Concentrated, Direct Drive power: A conventional propeller pushes water in a dispersed pattern, Sea-DooŽ Direct Drive concentrates turbine thrust and pulls stronger than a propeller out of the hole. Direct Drive pulls water "through" the boat instead of dispersing randomly out the back. This concentrated power delivers instant acceleration with very little bow rise. No trim or tilt to worry about. Just push the throttle down and you're off and up on plane. This technology also allows the boat to turn on a dime. The concentrated power gives you greater directional control. The boat can actually pivot within it's own length making changing course a snap and docking easy.
Maintenance: Sea-DooŽ Direct Drive has fewer moving parts than traditional systems. There is no transmission or lower unit to maintain.
All Sea-DooŽ Boats also include a Closed Loop Cooling System which uses coolant to keep the engine running at the ideal temperature like your car. Traditional open systems cool the engine by drawing in water, exposing the engine to corrosive saltwater, gunk and other possible contaminants.
Better engine placement & cockpit layout: The smart placement of the Rotax 4TEC engine, combined with the inventive layout of Sea-DooŽ boats creates a lot of room in the cockpit. The boats feel bigger than they really are. A 21' has the room of a 23'.
